The Open
Crafting Storylines on Golf’s Grandest Stage.
Golf’s oldest Major. Played on hallowed links turf. On the same courses where the game was born hundreds of years ago. The Open isn’t just another championship — it’s the heartbeat of golf’s history. Every gust of wind, every ripple of rough, every roar from the crowd carries a legacy that stretches back generations.
When we were approached by the R&A to create digital content for The Open’s official channels, our mission was clear: capture the soul of golf’s greatest week and translate it into the fast-moving world of digital storytelling.
We worked closely with the R&A team to develop a comprehensive content plan that spanned the full tournament cycle — from the anticipation of arrival week to the final walk up the 18th. Our scope covered everything from hero assets and pre-event storytelling to on-site capture, player interviews, social-first edits, and reactive content as the drama unfolded.
And when The Open begins, it doesn’t follow a script. The weather shifts, storylines twist, legends rise and fall. Our team thrived in that chaos — adapting in real time to breaking moments, battling the elements, and delivering content that felt alive with the same intensity as the golf itself.
From misty dawn tee times on historic links to golden-hour roars under the grandstands, we set out to show The Open not just as a tournament, but as an experience — something that transcends sport and taps into heritage, grit, and emotion.
Our goal was simple: to make fans around the world feel like they were there with us. To bring them the smell of the sea air, the texture of the turf, and the tension of a putt that echoes through history.
Through storytelling, agile production, and a respect for tradition, we helped bring the essence of The Open to millions — not as distant spectators, but as part of the living, breathing story of golf itself.
Because The Open isn’t about who wins or loses. It’s about where the game began — and where it still belongs.

Beyond tournament week, our work with the R&A continues to explore golf’s most storied landscapes through a more personal lens. Together with Iona Stephen — presenter, professional golfer, and long-time collaborator — we create long-form course preview films that live on her YouTube channel, offering audiences a fresh, inside look at the world’s most iconic Open venues.
These films go beyond simple flyovers or highlight reels. Each one is a journey through the character of a course, capturing the details that define its challenge, beauty, and history. Iona brings her perspective and presence — equal parts expertise and curiosity — while our team focuses on crafting a cinematic visual narrative that feels immersive, grounded, and true to the links.
Working alongside the R&A, we’re granted access to locations steeped in tradition — places where the wind shapes the game and the landscape tells its own story. Our goal is always the same: to honour the history of these venues while showing them through a modern lens, combining storytelling, cinematography, and authentic conversation to bring viewers closer to the soul of the course.
Each film is shot with the same ethos that runs through all our work — authenticity, adventure, and atmosphere. Whether it’s Iona walking a timeless fairway at sunrise or discovering how the local weather rewrites the strategy of a hole, we focus on the real, the raw, and the human side of golf.
The result is content that feels intimate yet cinematic, traditional yet modern — a bridge between heritage and the next generation of fans discovering the game through digital platforms.
Because for us, and for Iona, these aren’t just course previews. They’re stories about the land, the people, and the enduring spirit that makes The Open what it is — a celebration of golf in its purest form.
